This software (UpdaterW54E.exe) is a utility that updates the firmware for the TEAC CD-W54E from firmware revision 1.0A/1.0X to 1.1Y or from revision 1.1B to 1.1Y.Confirm that the firmware revision of your CD-W54E is 1.0A/1.0X/1.1B.Note that this program cannot be used for the CD-W54E with a firmware revision other than 1.0A/1.0X/1.1B.The readability of a special disc was improved.Checking method of the firmware revision: Select Setting - Control Panel by clicking the Start button. Double-click the System icon in the Control Panel window. Click Device Manager tab of the System Property dialog. Click + at the left of the CD-ROM icon to display the connected CD-ROM drives. Double-click the TEAC CD-W54E icon to display the property. Click the Settings tab. The character string to the right of "Firmware Revision Number:" indicates the firmware revision.
